Absolutely delicious and great value food. Top quality fresh food from an independent restaurant (makes a change from all the chain ones in town). The fillet steak was perfect! Have tried as a family, the BBQ chicken, ribs, burgers, sea bass and fillet steak mains. All amazing, fresh food and the desserts....wow! Homemade Oreo cheesecake, chocolate fondant, Bakewell tart and Eton mess! All delicious. Portions really good! Attentive and welcoming staff. Will be returning alot! Cannot wait for them to start serving fresh pizzas! A must visit if you are in Chelmsford.

Very tasty food! Went last minute with eat out to help out and managed to get in with no booking. Recommend the pulled pork, ribs and Oreo cheesecake. The portions are generous; we asked the staff to box up the rest to take home and they were very happy to do so. At the end of the meal we were given a discount voucher for our next visit.
Went there last night with my friends - great starters with seafood, meat and cheese. Amazing mains (we had burgers and steaks - the rare ribeye was fantastic), lovely service and good selections of digestives. Definitely going to try desserts as well next time! Well done guys!
Definitely a place to call a \local\! Amazing menu with fantastic portion sizes. Very friendly service and really good value for money. Try the camembert starter, it's to die for!
Picked up a takeaway as had people over, very impressed. Happy to let us have items from main menu, the sea bass was great. Burgers very good also. Will definitely try Smoke in Shed again
