This is a traditional large pub and provided reasonable food. There was perhaps too much quantity which put both of us off a little. We did not return as the drive to our rented cottage in the dark was not to our liking. We much prefer nowadays to have a good lunch out whilst away on holiday.
Wonderful local pub, owners and staff keen to do whatever to make visit pleasurable!
The food was incredible and the service was great. So good we went twice within a week. Also dog friendly which was a big bonus!
Nicely situated in the pretty village of Upottery, this is a very good watering hole and eatery. Lovely comfortable chairs, real fire and homely atmosphere. When I visited, the food menu was pretty basic but they are currently advertising for a chef, so this may change when one is appointed. That said, the food on offer was well prepared and served by friendly girls. Well worth a visit.
