The best place for a pint for tier 2, warm and chilled outdoor space with good food

I have visited before and thankfully during the currently pandemic not much has changed. The order online system took a little bit of time for us to figure out (make sure that after you have paid you click Confirm!) But the barman came out to let us know it still appeared as pending on his system and let us know why this may have been. Outdoor area is warm with heating and is partially undercover and was fantastic.

I moved here in March and went for a pub visit when lockdown lifted last. everything felt super safe but normal at the same time. Nice selection of drinks - haven’t tried the cocktails, if they offer them - and a good roast. Love the heated gardens. Hope they continue to thrive post-rona so I can enjoy a normal pub night eventually!

I used to love the Sunday roasts here until yesterday...I'm honestly telling people it was the worst roast we had ever had and won't be returning, which actually makes me quite sad. Not sure what's happened but we left as soon as we could and grabbed food on the way home. We left 2 nearly full plates and one empty as I had already taken medication and HAD to eat...everything on the plate tasted old and I'm sure we weren't the first to have noticed as there were a few tables there ordering food. How can roast potatoes be that bad?! Didn't want to kick up a huge fuss but the waitresses didn't even ask if everything was ok so I didn't have the chance to say anything, everyone just wanted to leave. Money truly wasted at a time like this, we were all so disappointed as this was our family's treat for the week.

Went last night. Nice outdoor space and some good drinks on offer. To have a beer, gven current restrictions, each of us had to order 3 sides per two people, two sides for 1 person or a main meal. Each side was 5.50. (other pubs are not expecting people to order so much food per visit). The food was truly the worst we have had in pub. Full stop. Undercooked padron peppers. Cold wedges, that had to be returned only to get another overcooked cold portion and a cold burger. I felt ripped off as you have to order this substandard food to have a drink.
