We have just had our Christmas 3 course meal (take away) 2020 from The Shoulder of Mutton. We both said that we would never cook a Christmas dinner again. No preparations, no washing up and a more tasty meal that we could have cooked ourselves. Good taste and plenty to fill. Thank you to the happy, kind staff. We hope you are all enjoying your Christmas (now) as much as we have so far. Would recommend without hesitation. Liz and Gary

It was the first pub I've been after lock down and it was great. There were not many people as one can expect. Real ales are served here and excellent home made food. A good choice of wines as well. One way system - yes, but it is Okay (and not always works). It is possible to sit inside even with dogs) or outside. Overall, a nice relaxing pub with great food.
Congratulations to the team at the Shoulder of Mutton ... our takeaway Christmas Dinner was sooo delicious! Plentiful, piping hot and great value! Each course was yummy and beautifully presented ... the attention to detail and extra surprise goodies made our Christmas dinner all the more special. And no washing up ... perfect! Well done! Highly recommended!
Overpriced and terrible quality I've eaten better food in big chain pubs at 2 4 9.99 horrendous. Steak too hard to cut so had to leave even though it was 14 with the sauce kids pizza were burnt and and no tomato base and they charged 4.45 for 2 sausages absolutely disgusting what a waste of 55. This used to be a lovely place to eat, availiid at all costs
Nice and cosy. Food was very nice and fairly reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only downside was the meat on the sandwiches was a bit measly to say we paid extra for all 3 options. If not for that would have been 5 stars.
