One of the best roasts we have had. Amazing red cabbage and gravy, wonderful cheesy broccoli and cauliflower and great homemade condiments. Can’t wait to go again!
Absolutely shocking service yet again! 2nd time I've been there first with family now just me on my own. EVERYTIME that young lad that works there serves us there is always issues! I always give a place 3 tries to get an accurate assumption of food and service. This time I waited in the bar area for 58mins for ham, egg and chips. The manger was there when I ordered as I had to repeat the order 3 times, twice to the young lad that had no clue and then the manger who tried to help. My starter came out and that was absolutely lovely! Great chef! Buts that's where it ends! They all seen me sitting there waiting for my food for 58mins! Then promised it would be 5mins, still nothing! So I had no choice but to leave with out my mains I was looking forward to! I would love to speak to the owner as that lad is ruining there service level and I'm sure many other customers feel the same. What a great location and food but that young lad has let it down again! I will try one last time and it's my new local. Fingers crossed he gets his finger out!
I have not been to the Ship for a while but the meal was very good if you like minimilist but tasty cuisine. The desert was superb and certainly memorable. The owners / staff were very friendly and helpful well worth a visit in these troubling times. We need to keep them open for others to enjoy
Great garden, great food. Clear and easy post-COVID restrictions. Particularly notable Sunday Roast, outstanding petanque ground.
