Ship Inn Dalbeattie. Dual purpose pub and takeway/restaurant. Particularly impressed with the Lunch menu which served until 4pm and is extremely good value for money. I use it like a 'tapas' style lunch where you get an alcoholic or soft drink with a starter (yes, you can eat your way just around the starter menu), and for the larger appetites then a drink and a main course meal. All courses are served fresh cooked and piping hot with a relaxed but totally professional table and bar service. A great place to spend some quality time in a friendly atmosphere ... thoroughly recommend this gem of a place.
Halloween Party night, the place was jumping! fantastic crowd, lots of fancy dress and a great disco from Celebrations Entertainment. Great staff, friendly atmosphere. Definitely going back
Chinese food. Didn't have to wait long for it to be served in bar area. Restaurant next door is part of business. Hot and tasty
Quite quiet. Just needs more people to visit and it will sparkle to life. Nice and clean with cheap drinks and can order local Chinese food to be kept heated for you.
