Just visited The Ship at Lathom for a late lunch to take advantage of the government's eat out to help out scheme. This is my first time there even though its only 15 minutes away and what have I been missing all these years. One of the best meals I have ever had! My quest to find the best steak and ale pie found a real contender today. I wrote a review a couple of weeks ago regarding what I thought was the best at the time but this one was possibly better my other half had the braising steak which was on the specials and again she said was one of the best meals ever. The service was absolutely fantastic despite them being really busy they all had smiles on there faces and very chatty which adds to the experience. Will be back i feel very very soon and again and again no doubt. A proper jewel in the lancashire countryside.

This place is a favourite of ours. Food is amazing. Service is fantastic. Friendly place and dogs welcome. Plenty choice of very tasty food at a reasonable price. Also plenty beer and spirits to choose from. Very clean and well kept place on the canal. Plenty parking too. Give it a go.
Food was delicious, all the staff were lovely and super friendly and helpful. Was nice to see tables were spread and covid measures in place. We were able to relax while having our meal. Can't wait to go again!
Best pub around. Always delicious food and friendly service.
