A lovely small country pub with an excellent simple menu. Its not extensive but REALLY good! I had fish pie and sticky toffee pudding - really yummy. Facilities are 'rural' but beautifully clean. Its small, compact, lovely staff and excellent food. Try it, its good.

Just had a superb meal here, sirloin cooked to perfection & hubby had bream, also cooked perfectly. Dessert chocolate & walnut brownie best I've ever had. Lovely people too in a beautiful setting. Most highly recommend
Called in for lunch halfway through a walk. Light Caesar Salad was absolutely delicious. Never had a bad meal here yet!
I loved the Rose & Crown. Epically old pub with wood burner, traditional bar and top notch food, all with no air of pretence. If in the area, this rivals the Angel at Burford on a winter’s day.
