Absolutely disgusted with the service provided by sheldon arms understandably one can say they are under pressure from the current situation with covid however This clearly wasn’t the case, treated With no dignity as we spoke to a members of staff about our reasoning of visit was close to our hearts and the family would like to sit in close approximately so we can still communicate however this was ignore more then once so one part of the family was sat on one end and the other on the other side makes no sense ? Then they say another family where we asked to be sat, we were polite and respectful at all times but we weren’t listened to at all we were made to feel small and uncomfortable the staff became arrogant towards us and replied with one word answers so we had no choice but to leave. What would have been a nice respectful difficult for the family day turned out to be even worse then I can imagine ! I will be phoning in to speak to the manager and making sure I tell my friends to stay away !

Had an amazing carvery. At the sheldon arms the food was very nice and the host was amazing polite and friendly good Covid 19 protection in place well done will be recommending your place to our guests at Hendham house hotel
Had dinner today at the Sheldon and was completely impressed with all the measures they have put in to prevent covid spreading ( well done . Also the staff we're really nice and friendly especially Jill nothing was to much trouble. Food was delicious too. We will definitely be going back.
The best pub food I've ever had! The gnocchi is great. Super kind staff and the atmosphere is homely and unique. Highly recommended for anyone in the area, we went following a stay in the hotel nearby. Meals are around 10 each, reasonable for the quality. Pretty sure the gnocchi is vegan if you ask for it without cheese.
Everything was so relaxed and the staff was amazing helpful and friendly they made sure our visit there was good and the food was also amazing will definitely recommend and be going back myself.
