The owner of this shop is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had some beautiful material that I wanted made into a dress. They weren't able to do this in the time before my holiday to India but spent time going through patterns with me and advised on what to ask for at a tailors in India. Really helpful.

Very friendly service
Having discovered one week before a wedding i was due to attend that the skirt part of the two piece outfit I had purchased was in fact a size 10 on a size 12 hanger (I had tried the outfit on previously so knew I needed a 12) and discovering there was no size 12 available I took it to The Sewing Shop in the hope that something could be done. Kos Dixon the shop manager could not have been more helpful and assured me she would come up with something. I don' t now how she did it but the skirt fitted perfectly and the finished item looked perfect. The charge for this job was definitely reasonable considering the amount of time and expertise that went in to the work. I would recommend The Sewing Shop and will definitely use them again
I have recently lost a lot of weight and had also collected various pieces of vintage clothing which I wanted fitted to me. The Sewing Shop has been absolutely marvellous in doing all the jobs for me, to such a high standard. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. A great service, at a great price. The lady is also very knowledgeable.
Her work is good. Her prices are somewhat steep. She is not warm or friendly. She is severe and blunt. So if that will bother you may want to go elsewhere. Take home point: her work is good.
