This is a nice upmarket cafe which serves good coffee and home baking. We didn't sample the paninis on offer but they looked amazing. The Scrib has just re opened after a partial refurb and is looking great. Lots of nice home-ware and foodie items on offer. Give this place a try - you won't be disappointed but remember it serves good food, not fast food.

Pleasant surroundings friendly welcoming staff .Enjoyed my lunch of prawn Marie rose on sour dough bread with salad and coleslaw followed by fruit scone with butter and a cappuccino. Portions are quite small in comparison to other similar establishments I have visited. Had hoped to purchase provisions from Farmshop but not much to choose from. Would still visit on other occasions as like surroundings .

First time I've ever stopped in Douglas - it's only ever been a place to drive through on the way to somewhere else. We'd passed The Scrib Tree so many times and made a mental note to go visit. It was a lovely day so we sat outside to have coffee and cake. I'm quite particular about my coffee but this was genuinely really good. There's a shop which sells a variety of random things, from sliced bread to furniture. Definitely worth a nosey if you're passing!
