The food is some of the best i have EVER had in a pub. Every time the flavour is sublime. Menu changes daily and all fresh local produce the smoked on site salmon is the best i have ever had. Keep up the great work. X

Lovely pub, good menu and food delicious. Staff are also lovely and have adapted for covid very well! Lucky to still have small local pubs and this one does it perfectly!

We (16 of us!) wanted to enjoy a walk from a nearby campsite and a pub lunch, and found The Salehurst Halt! It was just after the relaxation of rules for pubs, so was a little anxious about (a) being able to book something outside for so many people and (b) ensuring we and staff were safe and abiding to the rules. The experience and feeling of comfort with a controlled area outside for us all (under our own marquee!) was a huge relief and on top of that, the process of ordering food and drinks for 3 different families through their phone app (QR code on each table) was flawless. We also could order in person and was attend to perfectly by the lovely staff there. The food was amazing too! Their back garden is beautiful with lots of flowers and baskets in bloom, and we will make sure to return again soon when their outdoor pizza oven is up and running. Thanks to everyone who looked after us - you were all great! x

Amazing doggy friendly pub, proper old fashioned country locals place, this is home cooking not gastro twaddle. It is small so book if you want to eat on the weekend. They even sell a walking guide for strolls 2 to 5 miles around the area that is in the 1086 doomsday book census.

Great pub with beautiful views from the rear garden. Good food with a small menu and great Sunday Roasts. Local ales and cider and good wine selection. Friendly local
