Came here for a quick coffee and small bite. Firstly didnt answer the phone but being the weekend assumed they'd be busy. Turned up and had only around 8/9 tables from what we could see. Seated promptly. Went with a pregnant friend. Asked for a children's menu to be told we would not be able to order from them but could order for a smaller portion of the adult menu. Questioned why and told \because you arent children\. Never been refused ordering children portions before. Decided to leave and go down the road. My friend said it has recently been redecorated. It has a clinical, cold feel to it and definitely not worth the prices with that service. Cannot comment on the food or drink just put off with the service.

Very good service and I was surprised at the quality of the food available. I had the hens egg which came with grilled bread to dip in it with mushrooms and spinach then the confied duck which was tender and very flavorful. The ruddy good ale was much better than anticipated too with a creamy well rounded cask ale.
Cant fault the food, my steak was the best steak I've had in a long time. Staff very friendly too
Having spent many hundreds of pounds as a local over the years, you just need to train your staff to not be so miserable and rude. It’s like they were doing us a favour by being in their spending money. Shame, as great food and drinks.
If you are looking for somewhere to go for a filling lunch or dinner, you should definitely consider the Ruddington Arms. They have a great selection of food and drinks, which are all of excellent quality. Due to how good the food is, the place can get really busy on weekends and paydays but it is still recommend you visit this place. When I visited for the Chicken Club sandwich, it wasn't too busy as it was mid month. Nonetheless if you see a planning a get together in the Nottingham area, the Ruddington Arms is a great place as the staff make sure the environment/ atmosphere stays in motion.
