Nice spacious pub and fairly decent vibe. However, I don't mind paying top dollar for a Sunday roast, but to say you've run out of extra roast potato's on a Sunday is a little odd. Then, the ones that are served, were in my expert opinion deep fried. I've had better roast potato's out of a frozen packet. After a 45 minutes wait for our main, the roast pork was also cold.

Not cheap and cheerful nor expensive and elitist, it fills a missing link in terms of cuisine and atmosphere in the area. Service was friendly and warm and the food really surpassed expectation. Not your run of the mill menu but variations on well known themes which in many cases undersell the product, Blackberry and Walnut Pot as a title does not do the dessert justice and have some Vanilla and Walnut Ice cream with it, it just finishes it off perfectly. Will definitely go back. Best to phone and check availability as they were turning people away. Great addition to the food options in the area and I wish them every success, they really deserve it!
I took 4 guests mid-COVID and could not have been happier with the experience. One of the party is a food-nut and quite hard to please (sorry mate!) & he cleaned his plates. Job done. Very nice atmosphere, perfect service and delicious food cooked with love. I can only afford this kind of thing maybe once a year and I left feeling very happy with the experience and definitely with that \money well spent\ feeling.
Had a lovely sunday roast here (served from 12 until 4). Friendly attentive staff. Clean and comfortable pub, recommend
