Warm and comfortable old pub with small and larger tables throughout for eating - well thought out extension overlooking lovely countryside with outside terrace. Great food - prawn cocktail and avocado, and crummy satay chicken - ice cream and toffee sauce and pancakes after - all light and delicious - gastro pub food and not super expensive. Really nice staff who looked after me and my mother - we stayed about 3 hours and had a very nice time, and could talk and hear each other as the tables are spread out - book ahead as it gets busy
Fabulous meal. Kids brilliantly catered for too. However it was the service that was absolutely outstanding. Staff couldn't have been more attentive. Definitely somewhere we'll be returning to soon.
Stopped for a drink and saved the place immediately :) staff was welcoming, everything spotless, plates well presented. Too bad we had plans for lunch. I saw some interesting fish and seafood dishes. And the smell....yummy. We stopped around lunchtime. It was very busy, but everyone still smiling. Looking forward to try the food P.S. call before if you're planning to eat there. They seemed fully booked. Prices... around 17 a main course
The best wrap I have ever eaten! Apparently was one of the most popular items on the lunch menu (the menu is quite extensive too) and I can see why. Absolutely crammed full of goodies! My partner had the special pie which that day was chicken and leak. Beautifully creamy and flavoured with tarragon. We sat outside, the garden has a lovely terrace and stunning views too. Highly recommend, will definitely be going back.
