Great menu, lovely food, nice beers, good service and a traditional pub atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. (Look quiet in the photo, but was soon full.)

Cosy, comfortable quiet. Staveley nature reserve a nice walk and far from maddening crowd!
The beef was very very good the pork belly was amazing. The veg was OK the roast potatoes were average at best. We ordered cheesecake for pudding and this was not good at all. We will return when these lockdowns finish and give it another go.
A very nice pub for lunch cant fault the food although the chips were undercooked but these things happen and a replacement bowl of chips was provided. Possibly the wrong potatoes for chipping was the owners opinion and cant argue her honesty. But all in all excellent food and worth the run out. If the falafel starter is on the menu give it a go. Will be returning soon. This pub is a winner.
Lovely family run pub with great service and unbelievable food. Two large outdoor areas and plenty of parking. Make sure you're hungry if you're eating here.
