Pop in at least once a week for a takeaway lunch from the Deli, thoroughly recommend. Great selection, great service, and always quality food. Very generous portions of flavor syrup in the coffee as well. Prices at the slightly more premium end of the spectrum, but it's premium food, so I don't mind at all. I don't sit inside too often, as the place tends to be quite busy, but the service and set menus are just as good as the takeaway and deli. I'd be there this week too, if I wasn't working from home ;)

Nice and cozy with a real fire place! So nice during the winter. Friend suggested to come here for birthday lunch and we were all very disappointed. First, they changed the menu and when the food arrived, my friend said nothing taste like it used to. We ordered 2 platters and one of them is seafood... errr... all fried and burnt... no real fresh seafood and the price was 13 something... they even ran out of mussel and didn't even tell us, so they decided to substitute other \little fish\ in there which taste disgusting!!! they might have changed the chef... well, after this round we might never come again.
I went to the delicatessen in the pub, as the pub was shut in lockdown. Absolutely delicious turkey roll and chocolate orange tiffin style slice. I also bought some food gifts which I'll be giving as Christmas presents.
Burger meal (Stilton & bacon 12.95), pint of strongbow (4.45) and calamari (5.95), 14 even with \Eat out to help out\. To imagine that would have cost close to 25 for average food is not good value, felt the overpriced calamari (6 small pieces 1 a piece) was not worth it. Staff were friendly, though none I saw wore facemasks and were talking above customers with their food in the table, I can understand a face mask on a hot day isn't pleasant, but a face shield would stop any spittle landing on anyone's food. The whole place was hot, no Aircon at all. Sticky table, which is weird cause I thought tables were meant to be wiped and disinfected, guess I was wrong. Overall I would not recommend this place or coming back to eat here.
Booked a table for 8 people to Celebrate my brothers birthday. Service was friendly and efficient. We chose a variety of different foods off the menu . The steaks were exceptional as were the ribs !!! We had a great experience thank you so much . See you soon
