Having been lost in the woods for well over an hour in the pouring rain, the sight of a pub was most welcome - and what a welcome we had! The dogs were gladly invited in and catered for, logs were blazing in the fireplace, the barman/landlord most accommodating, all government requirements fulfilled and the Felday Legacy was an absolute pleasure to drink - no sludge there! Definitely worth risking the woods again for!

Stopped off for a lunch time drink and snack. The guy at the bar who served us was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Beer and food were very good and look forward to returning.
Very nice pub with lovely staff. Very well set up for social distancing. Nice calming atmosphere.
Excellent Christmas dinner, well cooked and served to 18 people. Roaring fire, good beer and wine selection. Enjoyed the game pie very much, others liked their food.
