This three hundred year old public house is full of original character and charm. It gained its title after Royalty connected to the Mount batten family dined there and were so impressed they granted the venue Royal status. They have an interesting and varied menu with speciality local lobster meals available it is recommended to order the lobster meals 24 hours in advance of booking.your table. The food is freshly prepared to a high standard. And served by friendly staff. Flamborough is a lovely village with fascinating beaches and white chalk cliffs and caves to discover. We'll worth a visit to THE ROYAL DOG AND DUCK enjoy a lovely meal and take a short drive down to the lovely beaches.

This is very much a traditional style of pub. We have been before and like it. It is not modern or trendy but we received a friendly welcome and had some great food which was not only really good but great value for money. The service was brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, and check out the beautiful sinks in the ladies toilets, Beautiful.
Wasn’t serving food the first visit due to some darts competition or something. Staff were nice. Second visit didn’t feel so welcoming. Food tasted like warmed up frozen/microwave/boil in the bag type food. Lamb shank and ribs at least tasted like this. The bbq sauce On the ribs was horrible and watery. I wouldn’t want to eat there again. It’s a highly rated pub, either people like this kind of bland food or the ratings are skewed.
Friendly locals and staff. Mixed grill was awesome. Dog friendly too
Great pub my kind of place great food to .rustic charm fireplaces and oak beams to boot.
