What a charming place! The gluten-free meal was fantastic (the chips and sweet potato fries in particular) and the staff was super friendly. It was a great surprise to learn that their chips were fried separately and didn't get cross-contaminated, but even a better surprise that they were so absolutely perfect. They had gluten free beer too. Yay! Tip: if you dislike soft bacon, you must stress you need very crispy bacon. Mine was a bit raw for my taste.

Hello. A nice family pub. We stopped after a visit to the Aquadrome. No tables inside but sat under the pagoda. Good food but not cheap. Good service. Friendly. Vegetarian options. Social distancing in place but not always followed.

Fish and chips is great. Had the chef's special sea bass as well and that was spectacular! And my dog loved the TAIL ALE, dog beer. Brilliant, private pub with good staff and delicious food. Well done and thank you!

Love this cosy pub! It was the perfect place for our last meal out in 2020 on the eve of tier 3 rules being implemented in the area. Staff are charming and friendly. The cosy, low ceiling and traditional pub decor is perfect. The food is a little expensive, but locally sourced, tasty and healthy portions make it worth the extra. It is lovely in spring and summer to sit out in the garden and have a cider! Cant wait to do that in 2021!

I went there on my own with just the dog today and had a really nice time. The only downside was that the roast topside of beef was too chewy. The rest of the meal was pretty tasty though and the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was sublime. My half pint of London Pride couldn't have tasted better. They have plenty of seating in the garden, some with splendid views of the surrounding hills and fields. The inside is warm and cosy. The staff were friendly and efficient and the other punters were pleasant too.
