We had an excellent Sunday lunch here in an amazing new outdoor beer garden overlooking the valley. The roast beef was excellent and so were the ribs. Beer choice was good and the service friendly. It’s popular with locals, so I recommend that you book.

We have always been a frequent visitor to this pub as it serves good food at good prices. When we visited a few weeks ago we ordered the hot beef sandwiches. On their website they were still priced at 5.95 which was what we paid before lockdown. When we had our bill we were surprised that they had charged us 8.95 for the sandwiches. When I queried this I was told that they had updated the beer garden, new flooring etc. I told the manager that it did not warrant a 30% increase for a sandwich and if my hairdresser put her prices up by 30% she would soon be out of business!! Not happy with his attitude and will not be visiting again. Just to let you know that the hot beef sandwiches are on website menu as 5.95!!!!! Menu not updated as normal!@ Have read your response but it still doesn't justify a 30% increase. Other businesses have suffered too but they have not passed on hefty increases. I know a quite a few people who will not be visiting you again. 9 for a sandwich
Another lovely Lunchtime meal at the Rose and Crown. Food was excellent as always and the staff polite and helpful. They have got everything in place for track and trace and are doing everything to keep their customers feeling safe. We will see you all soon Andrea and John
Beautiful traditional but trendy pub, food is consistently very good, the new breakfast menu is excellent, tasty local produce, excellent coffee and a warm welcome. The team are very Covid aware and work hard to maintain safety. Highly recommended.
Nice comfy pub with friendly staff, beer garden too. Some decent ales on tap.
