Popped into The Rose & Crown for a late lunch while in the area on a Saturday afternoon. Very covid safe, tables spaced apart. The staff were very friendly, clean pub and facilities. The fishcakes were delicious, burger and fries were tasty. However, the chicken was bland, which was disappointing. The dessert wasn't too sweet and the marmalade with it was lovely. The pub started to fill up from 5.30pm with a nice atmosphere, the pub has a nice decor and lovely fireplace.

I had a Beef Roast Dinner today here, and I can honestly say , it was the best I have had fir a long time. Absolutely Delicious, good value, and the staff were delightful. I don’t often write reviews, but this one is well deserved

Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I had the fish and chips. The batter was light and crispy with meaty fish the chips where again perfect. I had a taste of the my dads steak, that was better than the fish and chips. It was an absolute delight to try and will be my choice next time I go. Fantastic food and service all around.
Great country pub, very friendly and even in lockdown it’s very easy and safe to pick up a takeaway and the food travels very well!
