Fabulous food, welcoming and friendly staff. Great food in a wonderful location. What more do you need? Ate here twice in a 3 day visit to the area. All social distancing adhered to and felt very safe. Great find and highly recommend.
We needed lunch in Rock and chose this place just because it was handy. We were seated straight away in the bar which has great views across the estuary. Covid19 procedures were well thought out with clear screens between tables and sanitizing of surfaces between customers. It is table service only which inevitably slows things down but an abundance of competent friendly (and good looking) staff meant we didn't have to wait too long. Food was very good- prawn salad had a generous portion of hot shell-on prawns and crab sandwich was loaded with white crab meat. It would have been nice to have some brown too, but I know not everyone likes it. Dog friendly (most tables had a pooch underneath). The one way system means you leave by a fire escape type staircase so I had to carry the dog down. Great lunch with a pint.
Great position overlooking the bay from its elevated balcony position. Staff were super friendly and efficient without being intrusive yet still maintaining social distancing wherever possible. Didn't eat on this occasion, just drinks, but as they ran out of my chosen drink after only one glass I've dropped my rating to 4 stars.
Had a lovely meal here just after it had re-opened after the Coronavirus lockdown. The wife had a vegetarian Thai curry, which she said was really good. I had the Chicken pie - a puff pastry top with a good amount of large chunks of chicken in a great sauce - I think it was chicken and leek. The vegetables that were served with it were really well cooked and fresh. The chips were really good too. The other guys had scampi and chicken burgers - all of which looked really nice. I had a pint of Cornish pale ale which was very refreshing. Staff wore masks and screens had been fitted between tables, so they had obviously done some good prep work to make the place safer. All mains were about 14-16 unless you were going for steak, etc. Highly recommend the place.
