We've had a gorgeous takeaway Christmas dinner from The Refreshment Rooms today. What a triumph. Everything was gorgeous. I just added some yorkshire puds and stuffing. The only criticism is there wasn't enough gravy! It was just too good so could of had a bucket load of it we had both desserts, both were a delight.

Went to the Refreshment rooms today, the measures put in place for Covid were really good, everyone was wearing face shields, plus tables, chairs were being wiped down after each customer. Top effort. The food was fantastic, I had a 7oz steak with fries, absolutely delicious! My mum had steak and ale pie that looked amazing and she said was fantastic, my little sister had a burger, that looked pretty epic too, so I'm gonna try those the next time I go back.
Fantastic food at reasonable price. Even though the food was that good they could charge more. Really friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely returning for another night there. Fingers crossed soon
Everyone else had been there except us! Atmosphere, service, food and everything else was fantastic. Will definitely be going back!!
Collected roast lamb dinners...OMG!! Amazing.... all packed carefully, everything was delicious and not a scrap left on any plates... will definitely be going back for more takeaway meals!! Thank you Refreshment rooms it was so nice to get a meal that was all fresh and not processed!!
