Firstly, the food here is impeccable. Whether your palette is mild or on the spicier side, you will not be disappointed. Food and drinks are fairly priced, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are incredibly polite, accommodating and professional. Whether you're popping in solo for a swift one and a bite to eat, or there as a group of friends of all ages, a family with young children or even a date, this place is truly for everyone. I may be biased as this is my local, however I have friends from around the country (and abroad) who rave about \The Lion\. If you haven't tried it by now, trust me, give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Even in these weird times, the measures that are taken and adhered to leave me feeling completely safe, comfortable and satisfied.

Brilliant tasting food full of flavour and variety. Good value for money and nice portion sizes. Staff are friendly and the place is emaculately clean. However the drinks are expensive.... Looking forward to retuning again soon :)!
Wow, I can eat and the large mixed grill and garlic naans destroyed me. Staff were efficient, food was amazing
Good food, good service, excellent ales. Only problem my mobile phone won't scan the thing on the table to bring up the food and drinks menus on my phone luckily my step daughters phone did so we were okay. On leaving I checked with staff and they said when we come again just let them know and we could order normally.
Great decor. Loved the place inside and out. Fantastic space! So much space in this pub and so much room to enjoy. On a good sunny day definitely check out the beer garden you won't be disappointed. Next time I'll have to check out the food too..
