The Red Lion

We came for a drink the red lion today, unfortunately they were fully booked with people eating lovely looking Sunday lunches so we couldn’t get a table inside... however the lovely landlady offered us sheltered seating outside so we took up the offer and had a warming latte in the peaceful garden! We still felt very welcome and will definitely be returning :)

Perfect! Cute little place with excellent food and tasty desserts. GLUTEN-FREE which is brilliant. Land Mandy was incredibly kind and helpful (although she did persuade us to indulge in a dessert ) Will definitely be heading back!

Ate here yesterday in a beautiful sunny garden setting. Excellent lunch including mussels in a curry sauce and fried chicken for starters. This place is totally gluten free but you honestly wouldn't know it. Everything was very well cooked a d presented. My daughter is coelic and loved the food. We will definitely return (maybe to try the pies)!

Been here three times now, it's very good. The owners are very friendly and the meals are delicious. I had crumble rhubarb dessert with custard vanilla sauce, awesome! Fantastic experience, entire menu is gluten free, so no worries if you must eat gluten free.

Lovely gluten free food and very friendly staff. Happy to answer any questions from awkward people with intolerances (me!). Portions were a very good size and at a reasonable price. Will definitely be coming here again.
