Lovely venue, great style and relaxed vibe inside. The Staff are super friendly and the service is always great. Good is decent, plenty of choice with the menu changing regularly. The beer is exceptional!

Mixed feelings about this place. Lovely pub, nice setting, lots of space etc.. We came 4 Sunday dinner & I ordered the standard carvery but was disappointed at the portion size. I got 2 minuscule roast potatoes & one small new potato. I have come away hungry The food was lovely though, we all enjoyed it. Moist turkey, melt in the mouth beef & tasty veggies. I've read the reviews on how good the service is so all I can say is we must have come on a bad day as they were dreadful. Staff were moody & unattentive. When I asked if my dinner should have come with a Yorkshire pudding (as I had beef & turkey) she said no as we gave you stuffing so I said could I have one & she rolled her eyes & walked off. I did get my Yorkshire in the end but everything seemed too much trouble, her attitude was terrible & made me feel everything we asked her for was irritating. We waited half an hour before we were offered desserts, we asked to see the menu & waited another 20 mins or so before I had to go & ask again. No apology, just another eye roll. Hubby had crumble for desert which was lovely but the chocolate pudding was over microwaved & hard with very little custard. I would go back as the over all place was nice, but if I had a repeat of that service we most certainly wouldn't re visit.

We are missing the Red Lion. So friendly and a lovely place to stop by for lunch and a drinks. Or when we didn't need to buy food, just a couple of drinks. Our indulgence place. Hurry up and do one Covid so we can enjoy out little outings again.

Popped into the Red Lion for a pint and a quick bite to eat. Fantastic staff, great service, nice tasting food work prices being reasonable. I tried the cask IPA and really enjoyed it. This place is worth a visit, highly recommended

Visited the Red Lion Inn on Sunday 10 November 2019 for a drink of Joules. The Red Lion is an extensive 'Brewery Tap' pub with the Joules Brewery on the left hand side of The Red Lion. The car park is to the rear of the Red Lion through a large modern arch way. The main door is on the left hand side of the Red Lion into a modern extension to the rear of the original building. As you enter the main bar is directly in front of you with several handpulls serving Joules beers. At the time the brewery had just released the winter brew No 6 which is pleasant dark old ale. We had a half of No 6 and sat in the front area of the Red Lion with its real fires and comfortable seating.
