Came here for lunch today with a friend. Arrived for 12 noon booking and waited as asked on the board for someone to come and seat us. After a couple of minutes some other guests came in and went straight to a table in the bar area by the window. A young assistant appeared and took an order from them for some champagne. A couple of minutes later she looked over at us and and asked if we'd booked, to which I said yes and she took us to a table in the restaurant. The service was painfully slow as it seemed there was only the girl waiting tables. A larger party came in on the next table to us. We ordered simply omelette and chips but were not offered any condiments and had to get them ourselves part way through our meal as the girl was no where to be seen. After our meal we waited so long to order a dessert that we gave up and managed to grab a man who seemed to be working there and ask him for two coffees. Again, we weren't asked if we wanted any sugar and had to get it ourselves. Table was very sticky too. The owner came out in chefs whites and said he was in the kitchen today. This place is hit and miss. When it's good it's good but today was poor.

Nice pub with excellent garden, pleasant atmosphere.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I took my daughter here for a simple lunch today. We haven’t been here before and feel a little apprehensive in this strange pandemic environment but we were welcomed and very looked after. Thank you.
Nice to visit again, had a beautiful pint of Harvey's. The garden is looking fantastic, full of flowers and butterflies. Well organised welcoming/ordering system.
Such a wonderful dog friendly place it has a beautiful garden with absolutely delicious food
