Always a brilliant place to pop in for a beer. Service is met with character and pace making it a warm, satisfying experience. The food is held to a very high standard and the deals on offer weekly are brilliant. A true local. Hats off to the management and staff, both floor, bar and kitchen. Never felt more at home. 10/10

Best meals ever. Nice change than being bored being with friends is better.

Just been to a private function at the Red Kite, in an outside function area. The staff were first class, the beer was great and the food they served up was lovely. I know I was pleased to see old friends but I have no doubt the Red Kite, their staff and their set up had a lot to do with me and my wife having a great day. I would go there again, anytime.

My other half and I came down to have a Sunday lunch. She's in a wheelchair, so every journey has to be planned in advance. We couldn't fault the staff... they were very helpful in helping with the seating, and one of the staff even moved her car outside, without even having to be asked, so we could have better wheelchair access. The food was great - you get loads for your money, and the dessert we had, apple and cinnamon crumble, was fantastic! The gent's is downstairs, so if you struggle with these, there's an accessible toilet at the end of the bar. The only issue, not really the fault of the pub, is the kerb outside is a bit too high for a wheelchair, so my partner had to go along on the road until we got to the ramp. Overall, a lovely afternoon out.

Nice place, good feel to it. Be great to bring kids to in the summer, the outdoor area looks really good and open straight onto the Derwent walk. I got the cheese and bacon topped potato skins and they were awesome, definitely recommend.
