I UNDERSTAND IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES PEOPLE NEED TIME TO ADAPT my wife and myself called in for a quick pint before we headed off home We waited at the bar to be seated and a young man seated us straight away and we asked if we ordered drinks at the bar or table service he replied table service and I will be with you shortly After 20 minutes of waiting I was going to approach the staff but they seemed busy Various couples walking in and shown to there tables this is when the young man approached one of these customers and asked for there drinks order Please don't sit customers down and forget about them We approached the young man and asked why we had not been served and the reply was sorry let me serve this table and I will be with you The table which was filled 20 minutes after we arrived WE LEFT DISAPPOINTED AND THIRSTY

I am never disappointed when eating Sunday lunch here, if you've never been on a Sunday you need to have the bird and beast, the Yorkshire pudding alone is huge!! Every chance I get to visit Chesterfield I come here for this! Staff are always friendly and the young guy who works there goes above and beyond to help you

Just had lunch and it was great! Very nice staff and atmosphere, food was tasty and plentiful and served fairly quickly. I visit the other pubs in the group (The Exeter Arms & The Crossing) and this was just as good. Very easy to find and a good spot in the town centre too. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Oddly decorated with a mixture of styles gives this place an olde-eccentric look. With good Craft beers and good food, you can't go wrong here. Excellent service from the staff. Win-win!
