The food from the Raj always tastes fresh and is really satisfying. Portions are generous and takeaway (not \take-out\) meals can last for two days. Generally, if you ask for a hot dish, you will get a hot dish, something of a rarity these days. I was disappointed only once, when my prawn vindaloo featured a lake of very smooth sauce with a very few prawns swimming in it, but that was the exception which proved the rule.

I hadn't been here for years as it used to be very poor but having heard the current management were much better I went back recently. It is much the same inside, not very busy, clean and tidy. The food was absolutely excellent, we both said it was the best Indian we'd had for years. The service was also good and prices fair. I've since been back for a takeaway and that was also really good so I highly recommend giving this place another try.
