Lovely historic pub with a nice atmosphere. Goodish food and friendly service. The Covid situation has meant that the last orders for food is earlier than before, so if you want to eat there then book early and arrive in good time. The menu is varied, but the choice could be a bit more comprehensive to suit different tastes and needs, for example vegetarian. Also, the bill for the three of us was quite expensive.

Very charming jewel between London and Stansted. Worth taking a detour for. We had cod and chips, the special burger and a chicken burger. Everything was delicious
