Great selection of beers and friendly staff.
My wife and I visited The Railway Tavern on Thursday 20 August . It reopened with new owners on the day before ( Wednesday 19 August 2020) with 6 real ales and a real cider on the handpumps. Customers have to enter by the front door on Upper Bar and leave by the rear door on Avenue Road. Once you have entered there is a signing in table where you leave contact details on a small form for tracing and some hand gel. The bar staff take your order at the table and bring the order to you. The staff were busy but still find time to spend time to speak to customers. The tables are well spaced out with a variety of low and high seated tables.
Brilliant! Fantastic atmosphere, great selection of ales and ciders. Nice scenery! Would 1000% recommend
If you like Northern sole it's great and the drink are pretty cheap four pints 11 pound
