Fabulous restaurant with amazing attentive staff. The food has never disappointed and great value for money. Back for the first time since COVID restrictions and everything felt super safe, one way routes, staff in masks, hand gel available entrance and exit. We requested a separate room due to vulnerability within the party and this was no hassle. Great evening had by all - Thankyou!

Me and a friend had booked to go here for a meal. unfortunately,When we walked in the, who can only assume was the owner, was very abrupt when asking if we were eating in or taking out. We then were seated and asked if we would like any drinks. We originally ordered a bottle of wine and were asked for ID, which we felt was fair enough, however, my friend who is is 18 showed them her ID, unfortunately I didn’t have mine on me so therefore I wasn’t served which I accepted. After 10 minutes I went outside, again we are assuming it was the owner, followed me outside and proceeded to contradict my my age and proceeded to ask what school I attended, personally I think this is outrageous as the issue had already passed and it was non of their business. We will not be returning to Railway Spice.

I was in Whitchurch visiting family for 2 weeks & had originally been recommended another curry house, which I had eaten at a few nights earlier. However that place was closed so when we wanted another curry this seemed to make sense as I was staying in town & this was only a short walk. The other place was Spice Heaven, & having eaten at both, I literally can’t separate them. Even the garlic naan was humongous here like at Spice Heaven. Perhaps if you’re “eating in” then this one shades it a bit, as it’s a really nice place & a bit more spacious than spice heaven. But if it’s just takeaway, based on the dishes I ordered (Chicken Jalfrezi & Prawn Madras), I literally can’t separate them. If I lived in Whitchurch with food as good as these two curry houses, I’d be obese!
