Very lovely set lunch. Prompt and efficient service. Food tastes delicious and fresh. Had crab cakes for starters which was buttery soft and did not taste ‘fishy’. The sea-bass was cooked to perfection and the accompanying veg complemented it well. The orange posset and ginger crumble gave a fresh and light ending. Would come back for a 2nd visit!

A cozy local restaurant with tasty food and reasonable price....
Stopped in for lunch without a reservation. Oops. Luckily we were seated with the understanding that we needed be be finished by 2pm. We all chose the set lunch menu. Some started with a cheese souffle, while I ordered the clams, cockles and saffron potatoes. Both were outstanding. Next came the bavette with chips for some while I went for the rabbit leg. Beef was very good and the rabbit leg was also. Very much enjoyed the pace and service. Highly recommend
Excellent place for lunch in Marchmont, delicious food, friendly staff at very reasonable prices. Definitely one of Edinburgh favourites.
