Have just had lunch at the Prince of Wales. We enjoyed a good wholesome lunch with very good service. The staff and the owner were very attentive and the service was prompt. The owner made us extremely welcome and took time to chat.He went the extra mile to source some beef for us when I asked if he knew of a good local butcher.

Brilliant food, and very good looking pub. It is in a great area which means after eating there are some really good walks nearby. There was a marked wasp nest so eating outside was a bit annoying but not something they can control. It is very animal friendly. There is a pub dog that is so cute and willing to say hi to anyone. Couldn’t have picked a cuter mascot. The staff are friendly and had a lot of hand sanitiser stations etc meaning there was measures for elderly people and those needing to protect theirselves. Do visit if in the area

It was unfortunate that there was only one other group of people in the restaurant who left shortly after we arrived.it was a little chilly and gloomy. The staff were very pleasant however the menu was light on vegetarian dishes my fish and chips was a little too greasy my friends mushroom pie was mostly pastry with a pile of vegetables just thrown on.i feel sorry for pubs that open are not busy it must be very disheartening however care and love should still go into the food.

The Prince of Wales recently hosted our small intimate wedding reception on 10/10/2020 and we cant praise them highly enough! Service was excellent and the food was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, despite covid making the rules the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you Prince of Wales for helping to make our day as memorable as we had hoped it would be.

Last minute trip out on a sunny day. There was a half hour wait which is understandable. We had the blue cheese burger and the buffalo burger. both burgers did not disappoint and we very tasty indeed, full of flavour. The chips were just standard chips nothing special. We had a couple chocolate brownies to finish off, a very pleasant experience indeed, would come again and highly recommend.
