Wow what can I say about the poachers apart from the food is amazing and the food is plentiful. My partner got a Sunday dinner without the meat, I got a lamb dinner and our son got the pizza and chips. As you can see by the size of the puddings their was plenty to eat. I had enough meat to feed 3 people and well the kids meal was huge. I swapped my potato for chips. I would def return.

Wow first time back since rainy Sunday Autumn afternoon when we walked from Bowburn and ended up stopping for our tea at the Poachers two years ago. Portion size was fabulous for 9.50. Two great Yorkshire puddings lamb was beautiful and generous. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be despite restrictions and guidelines. Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch. We rang evening beforehand were expecting them say fully booked but we were able book table for three adults two children. Thank you to staff they've done well to set the venue up despite the current climate.

Overall a nice meal, I had steak and ale pie, unfortunately pie top was very hard, like it had been microwaved, however filling was nice although gravy a bit rich. Covid rules applied excellently, the young waiting staff were spot on. 2.68 for a pint of diet coke which is harsh and was warm and flat. Overall a nice meal

Nice friendly staff. Meals are a massive size so often cant finish them which means wasting money. Other than that a nice place

Been going here for quite a few years , they have recently changed the menu , no drop in standards at all It’s a good varied menu with lots to choose from . Chips so tasty but so is everything else . Staff are so pleasant , drinks order taken at the table , cutlery brought along with condiments . We waited slightly longer than before lockdown but the rules have changed. It is worth a much longer wait if the truth be told . My husband had Katsu Curry and I had the Rosemary lamb .No complaints at all about anything . To me anyone that complains had an ulterior motive .Keep up the good work Abbie and Staff x
