Sadly closed due to Covid, but as we sat there on their empty bench peacefully having a cup of tea and thinking how nice it would be to visit later in the year, the owner (or someone from the property) comes out and says \you can't sit there it is private property\. So we won't be back.

Very good local pub with a friendly atmosphere. The decor is classic old school, the are 2 very nice, old looking wood burning stoves. The bar staff were friendly enough and the beers on tap were very reasonably priced, especially for a pub down south! We went on a Friday and it was busy, but I think that adds to the atmosphere, but turn up early to get a table if you're a big group. I will definitely be returning on the not too distant future and recommending this pub to friends and family. Oh, and it is cash only, so come prepared.
