Great little old style pub, local atmosphere. Food is on the dearer side but majority of it was great quality. The steak looks like the thing to have - we didn't have it unfortunately. A couple of tiny details written down at point of order weren't read by the chef but only minor points like no salad in the burger and cheese (which was offered) to be added to the kid's pasta dish. Our waitress, George, had a lot on her plate but she was fantastic and smiley and Incredibly helpful and a credit to the pub. We'd go back but we'd order the steak next time!

What a great find, we saw they accepted dogs and thought we would give it a try. Food was great (there is that word again), dogs welcome and made a fuss of. Roaring fire and a great (no apologies for over using that word) atmosphere, able to chat to each other without raising our voices. We are on holiday and were planning to have a takeaway for the rest of the week but now going back to try out more of the menu!
Good food, drinks and service
Good food and good service. Very accommodating to menu changes and to trying out the unknown local beers. Nice open log fire. Definitely worth a visit.
Was a good Sunday roast,only small point was gravy was too salty but other than that tasty meal Service was friendly and we will go again
