Excellent choice! The quality of food is more like a restaurant and prices more like fast-food. Huge portions of meat! The planche de grand mère is definitely must try! A lot of melting in mouth beef over vegetables. The dish is not heavy but nutritious. Homemade cocktail was also very good! Nothing negative for me here.

Arrived in Nice late in the evening and went to La Planxa as it was fairly close to our hotel and had really good reviews. Although quite close to closing time Christian the owner greeted us with open arms. A bottle of water and glasses arrived at the table as soon as we sat down. When we had eaten our gorgeous meals rather than asking us to leave he asked if we would like another drink. The food is really good, rustic French cuisine that is so flavoursome and really good value for money. The food and hospitality were so good that we ended up going here for 3 meals over the course of our 4 day stay. The third visit was unplanned as we had actually sat down in another restaurant near the town hall but after they couldn't even get our drinks order correct we decided to return to La Planxa. Where once again Christian welcomed us with open arms. Amazing guy ,amazing food. Stopped in again this year and was given the same great welcome. Our meals were identical to our last visit, always the sign of a good restaurant. Still really great value as well.
Absolutely amazing food - portions are crazy and quality is exceptional. Really friendly understanding service (who helped us order in French despite our best efforts). Well worth a visit
Been there 4 times during our stay in Nice. Loved each of them, especially the burger is great. Best value for money food we had in France. The guys working there are very nice too. Home vine is OK for the price they charge, but the cocktail and milkshake were dissapointing. Overall - Highly recommended.
The concept is nice, they serve the plate on a Plancha! We ordered the cote de boeuf (200g portion not the 400g and it was a lot!) and the Huge burger. To be honest the portions are HUUUUGE. The staff are friendly! We asked to have the camembert and they add it to the cote de Boeuf plate. Affordable prices relative to portions.
Easy 5*s. Had the burger, but doubled it up (extra 3 onto of 10,50). Delicious! It was so good, that I came back again a week later! Five of us went; four got the double burger! Not only is it super tasty, but also the portions are a decent size -- even without doubling up! Can't comment on the deserts, as been too fully each time to have desert! Definitely recommend!!
Came here with a friend via checking some Google reviews and left very satisfied. Food was delicious and service was good.
It was ok but there was only one vegetarian meal so I had no other choice and they took so long to seat us and to collect the bill. However it was good that they had an English menu and the waiter spoke English as well.
