After a had day moving house, we decided to treat ourselves to a Friday night Cod and chips. Excellent friendly service and all managed in Covid friendly way. The Cod was cooked fresh and to perfection and a side of curry sauce with the chips made the whole meal perfect. Just great fish and chips. Thankyou.

The staff are very polite and the food is of just above average quality but my issue was with the potion sizes . I ordered two kids meals that comprised of chicken nuggets a potion of chips and a drink, great value for these. The issue was the order for my wife and I that comprised of a portion of chip and some grilled halloumi each. The chip portion was smaller than the kids meal size and the halloumi was 4 tiny strips that was not worth the money paid. Not a good idea to do when there is another great chippy just around the corner with portion sizes that have value for money and of exceptional quality. I tried this place due to other reviews instead of going to the other one. I shall return to the one I know around the corner from now on. The image shows the portion on a small dinner plate.
Excellent food, great service, especially in these trying circumstances. Support your local shops is the mantra, I certainly will when they are this good!
Decent fish & chips. Not the cheapest around but quality is good, place looks clean and staff are friendly. Our Friday take away in Cherstey!
Good fish, fishcakes, and veggie burgers were good too. Chips were unfortunately a little cold but collection only so may have got cold on the drive home...
