44 years old and apart from losing the sawdust on the floor nothing has changed. You have to admire them, they've stuck to their business model and niche market. Food was nice. Not bad value. The wine list is ridiculous. A thoroughly enjoyable evening though and pleasantly full. Bill came in slightly cheaper than I thought. Can't say I felt particularly welcomed. More processed than looked after but worth exploring if you fancy something different.

An atmospheric basement restaurant and wine bar with excellent food and obviously a great drinks selection. Really efficient and friendly staff - our waiter Max was brilliant. Rigorous Covid precautions in place and tables have ample space around them.
Went for Sunday lunch. Great 2 or 3 course menu. Good value and delicious food. The chicken and chestnut pie was delicious. Great wine list and lots of choice for beers, cocktails and spirits. Friendly staff too I would recommend a visit.
Really nice food. Visited on a recommendation and glad I did. Colleagues have said this is the best place when on an overnight in the area and I can see why they say it. Nice food, great staff, good menu, reasonable prices. If you like wine there is literally a wine recommendation against every food and in every direction you look.
Myself and my partner visited last week and had a wonderful meal served by a really lovely and friendly waitress called Charli. It was so nice to feel welcome by all the staff which sadly you don't always feel in some establishments post covid lock down. We are looking forward to returning. Thank you again.
