Although I really liked the food but the manner how I was served was interesting - why I was asked to give my postcode? (I didn't notice that other customers were asked this), earl grey tea was served without a plate, only a plain cup, although other customers had a cup with a plate and a couple of sugars. To be honest, felt a bit strange.

Don't be fooled by the exterior or the workmen sitting within or even the door which insists on not closing properly whatever repairs they do. This \greasy spoon\ is far from oily. In our opinion it is the only place to go to in Bexhill for the best English breakfast. And don't worry if you overdo it. You can walk it off along the seafront which is a stone's throw away. The staff are cheerful. The food yummy. But don't tell everyone...I still want to get a table
