One of the very few \proper pubs\ in Dundee center, the phoenix always delivers. Well kept beer. Foods reasonable and unpretentious too (no 15 pound burgers here thank you very much). It's a shame the government is trying to run it into the ground at the moment. It's still open for food so get in for some chips and a lemonade if you can.

Quiet today. Open for food and soft drinks. Always good food.

Very nice looking traditional pub. Nice pints, very friendly service. Food was OK, burger very cheap quality, curly fries nice. Roll with soup was burnt.

Do you know I have been going to The Pheonix for over 40 years. In that time I have seen changes in ownership but have not seen any changes in atmosphere. The Pheonix has that undefinable something that makes a it place that you just want to be in. I often think, with it's eclectic decor, if you could bottle and sell that, you would be a billionaire. The beers are great, well kept with plenty of variety. The food; wholesome pub grub and plentiful. But the staff: friendly, cheery and welcoming, a credit to the Bannerman family. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Purely because of the Covid arrangements, a couple of less tables and sanitiser on every table is not really enough. Perhaps some perspex between the booths would make us feel safer. I long to go back when things return to normal, I sincerely hope, Alan, you can weather this storm.
