This is an example of a local pub that has simply got everything right about opening post-Covid19. Extra outdoor tables, solid precautionary measures and a great positive attitude and investment from guys who know they have to make this work. Couple that with likeability of staff and great food, good portions and reasonable prices, I'm real happy. One of the high points in a holiday full of them. Thanks all for making our stay in the area better that I thought it could be.

Had a great meal, landlord very friendly and accommodating.and a great pint of local cider on draft. If we are in the area in future will definitely return.
Really nice traditional pub with nooks and crannies. Good food. They follow the covid rules so that you feel safe.
Called in on the way back from the caves for a spot of lunch, accommodated a family of 7, sat outside in the garden which was nice, landlord was very welcoming, food was fantastic and good sized portions, and they do a ploughmans which i have not had in years, all enjoyed the food and had a nice afternoon, shame we had not found this pub earlier. Thanks
We holiday in Wells every year and the Pheasant Inn has always been a highlight for us. We were interested to see what the new owners had done and it's all positive. Great menu that was really reasonably priced and the staff and service was fantastic. I really recommend the ham egg and chips! The pub seems to be, much lighter and airier even though it was really busy. Highly recommend and we will continue to look forward to visiting on our twice-yearly trips to Sommerset.
