My personal favourite pub in the lakes. Big hearty delicious meals with fast friendly service. I would really recommend the homemade steak pie with chips & veg..perfect after a long days hike.

Food was really good, I would recommend taking a taxi if you're staying in Keswick and don't have a car as it's on the outskirts. I really don't recommend walking from Keswick as it involves walking through a park with a river running through it and no lighting. I visited based on the rave reviews but I could probably find equally good food in the town centre. I felt that the tables were also packed a little too tightly together.

Absolutely fantastic food. The beef and ale pie had not an ounce of fat in it, lovely tender meat and delicious pastry. Vegetable Wellington was very tasty as were the carveries. Awesome local beers and quick service too. Couldn't ask for much more really definitely worth a visit

A lovely cosy pub. Our meal Saturday was amazing. Only downside was sat in the back of the pub as it was so busy. Sunday lunch was booked in the bar area. Really nice atmosphere. The staff really welcoming and warm especially the Canadian lady. Can’t wait to come back

Typical English country pub. Great food. Can get very busy in peak season and not much room if it does as the tables are very close together.
