I first visited the Pear Tree Pub pre lockdown with friends. We all tried the food which wasn’t edible to say the least (both starters and mains!) I definitely wouldn’t recommend dining there. We thought we’d give the pub a second chance. However, the Landlady was extremely rude and bad mannered. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. Suffice to say we didn’t even stay for one drink. We ended up getting a taxi to the Sandpiper where we were welcomed by friendly and professional staff. Altogether the food and service was excellent, and well worth a visit.
