Is there honey still for tea? It appears not, because there's no food at all in the afternoon.. Not scones or teacakes or even biscuits. Maybe the lunch or dinner would be nice but we went in the afternoon. Beautiful setting though, lots of tables outside and good cover in case of rain. Look out for the trip hazard in my photo as two or three people apart from me tripped on it in the short time we were there - and they showed no inclination to sort it out.

Pretty country pub in a pretty Sussex village, serving traditional pub grub plus a few fancy options on the menu. Food was very tasty, but small portions for a 13 price ticket. Staff seemed good (Sarah & a young lady), apart from our surly waiter/barman, who first of all told us off for not booking when we arrived. Then when we asked what came with the peach & goats cheese option, we were told impatiently 'what it says on the menu'. When we said 'really?' he conceded 'salad'. We risked it - it came with avocado, pine nuts and salad. Would it have been so hard to be a bit more helpful?
There are literally not enough ways to say Thank You to Sarah and everyone at The Partridge! We had a small socially distanced meal to celebrate our wedding in the beautiful garden; the food was amazing and received so many compliments, and the team were also very accommodating for our gluten free guests. Everyone was raving about the burgers! The whole team were so incredibly professional and efficient with table service on the drinks, and they were all just so bloomin’ lovely! The most accommodating and kind bunch of people I have ever met- I could not recommend the Partridge enough, Sarah went above and beyond for us. They really were wonderful.
Service and food exceptional. We got a voucher from Groupon, but would be more than happy to pay full price on next visit as worth every penny.
We loved our evening with you. You made us feel quite at home. The fish cakes were a delight and better than I can make at home. So, we were winning there. Thank you, Sarah.
