Went for brunch today - great food as always, but the service was dreadful. 75% of table outside hadn't been cleared when we arrived, and weren't for the hour and a half that we were there for. 45 minutes before anyone took our order (we had to ask twice), and another half an hour wait for food. The service - when it did come - was flat and uncharismatic. Would recommend The Pantry for the food, but be prepared for well below average customer service.

Very small portion of waffle, with bacon and maple syrup for 6.50 I went for breakfast and had a delicious snack. My main problem with it was the high cost (6.50) for a single small waffle, 1 bacon rasher and a drizzle of maple syrup. I also paid extra to have a portion of mixed fruit, which was fine because it was tasty. However, I left the cafe still hungry. Suggestion - for 6.50 I would expect a larger portion. Other good points: The portion of beans on toast was a good size and also a good price Attentive staff Nice cafe
Food is normally very good, staff is normally awful. If you don't have the necessary manners, patience or common sense then maybe a job dealing with the public isn't for you. Shame really as with it's location it could be so much better.

Loved the setting. Beautiful place, local shop - they do varieties of coffee and chai. Great place for relaxed evening coffee or hot chocolate and cake
