Very pleasant staff. Good coffee. Tables cleaned promptly

Very very slow service. Shop was practically empty. Ordered a tea and ice cream. Tea came but no ice cream. Sat and watched majority of staff doing not a lot at all and nobody going anywhere near the ice cream. This is like a 15 second job. Servers bringing wrong items to wrong tables despite each table having a number. In the end we had to grab a member of staff to remind them of the ice cream order. No apology. When it did arrive it was the smallest two scoops of ice cream we'd ever seen. Literally their idea of 2 scoops is what the majority of other places would class as a single scoop. I can only presume instead of using an ice cream scoop they were using a teaspoon. Poor service and ripoff portions.
Service is top notch and very polite. Its my best tasting coffee from about 50 visits to coffee shops all over Kent. I am in a retired group of three who visit Paninis about four times a week.
Shame, as the location is decent. This cafe is just ok for a quick coffee if you don't fancy Starbucks on the pier, but that's it. The food isn't fresh so make sure you get any bread products toasted if you have to eat there.
